What happens when you power wash?

What happens when you power wash your outdoor patio? What happens when you wash a wooden bench or table? They say a picture is worth a thousand words. so here are two videos showing you what could happen.

Yes, these are the same pieces of wood. I know, crazy difference.

If you are choosing a company to power wash your deck, make sure they have experience in the field. Ask them their technique, hopefully they begin with the relatively low setting with a wide fan and go up as needed.

Be advised, pressure washing is not easy and can easily damage your wooden deck. Aggressively spraying your deck or pressure washing too many times, can lead to splintering. You have to identify what kind of wood you are wanting to spray. A composite deck will splinter when sprayed. For softer wood like cedar and pine, it will require less pressure. Harder wood like mahogany, walnut, and oak require more pressure. In future posts, we will provide a "how to video" but for now, it is simply to show you the benefits that you could receive from pressure washing.
